Eliise, originally from Estonia, moved to Australia in 2013. In 2015, whilst working full-time as a retail manager, Eliise launched Eliise Maar Jewellery, starting with just a table in the corner of her one-bedroom apartment.

In the early days she handcrafted each piece herself, managing everything from production to sales. After studying graphic design, she took on all aspects of the business, including photography, website creation, and branding.

Her passion for creating imagery that tells a story remains at the heart of her work.

Since then, her brand and team have grown organically.

In 2024 and 2025, Eliise Maar Jewellery was nominated as one of the top 15 jewellery brands in Australia.
